Community
Faringdon United Church was founded in 1970 by the coming together of the
Congregational and Methodist Churches in Faringdon. In 1972 the Congregational
Church and the Presbyterian Church of England united to form the United Reformed
Church. Faringdon United Church is now a part of both the Methodist Church (West Oxfordshire Circuit) and the United Reformed Church (Wessex Synod).
Worship Style
Faringdon United Church is a warm welcoming group of worshippers, combining the 2streams that form the United Church (Methodism and United Reformed).
The style is relaxed and welcomes people of any denomination to join us and feel at
ease. After worship, we have a time to get to know each other over a cup of tea or
coffee.
