As we gather together for worship this Sunday, I know that you will want to remember Syria and the Christian community there in your prayers.
The situation remains highly volatile. The fall of the Assad regime has sent shockwaves across the region, intensifying fears of a complete power vacuum and a potential surge in factional violence.
Civilians are being displaced at an alarming rate, while minority communities, including Christians, are bracing for an uncertain future.
Prayer is crucial.
Please lift up Christian communities in prayer, asking for strength and courage.
Pray that they and other minorities would be protected.
Pray for Christian leaders, as they seek to serve the church and their society at large.
And above all, pray urgently for peace, that the cycle of violence would end and that God's mercy and justice would prevail.
Thank you for your care and support for the persecuted church and for standing with our brothers and sisters in Syria in their longing for peace and justice.
Every blessing
